The truth is out! The last donut goes to pay the commissions due to the delivery services. There’s no profit for us, or anything set aside for a rainy day. This situation is same for pretty much all independent F&B outlets. Most of us have managed to stay afloat only by spending years worth of business savings to cover costs since the MCO began. And yet, independent F&B outlets make these sacrifices to stay open. Why? For our employees and team members, sure. For our customers too. But mostly because these were our dreams made real. We’ve put in too much hard work, and sacrificed too much, to give up. We realise that the pandemic has hit you hard too - and we wouldn’t begrudge your use of the delivery apps to get better prices or nice discounts. But if you can, please support independent F&B outlets by making direct orders via drive-by pickups or personalised deliveries arranged directly with us. It’s been 520+ days since the MCO, and we’ve been running on empty for most of it. The last donut makes *all the difference.
