Misinformation about COVID-19 has led to a growing number of unvaccinated Australians in hospitals. Professor Mark Balnaves from the School of Arts and Social Sciences said his team are currently trying to understand online behaviours. Professor Balnaves told A Current Affair that in Australia, there are 33 million conversations people are having about COVID-19. "People are going to social media to reason about what's happening, but also to decide what makes them feel comfortable and safe," he said.
