There is one customer who asked admin why this unaesthetic-looking tube connects the top tube and seat post junction. What's so fascinating about this? This extra tube is called a gusset. Did you ever know what the purpose of it is welded there and mostly found on MTB or gravel frame? Apart from adding weight to the frame, but it adds strength to the frame. As top tubes became more slop, it compromises the integrity of the frame, which takes a lot of pressure between the seat tube and the top tube meet when a rider's weight lands on a seat post. As a result, cracked frame, so manufacturers are beefing up the bike frame in that area to deal with it! Share us what are other reasons you knew in the comment down below!
