MR.DIY paid a visit to Pusat Jagaan Rumah Orang-Orang Tua PKK SIMEE, Ipoh on 19th February to help the elderly and make a positive impact in their lives. ​ The visit was part of MR.DIY ongoing commitment to giving back to the community. The volunteers spent the day with the residents, participating in various activities, including 30-minutes of physical exercises with dance movement therapy, making colorful paper flower collages, playing board games, and picture puzzles to help enhance their memory and brain function. ​ A total of twelve (12) volunteers, inclusive two from Pusat Jagaan Rumah Orang-Orang Tua PKK SIMEE worked together to set up a new room for the residents by arranging several beds, wardrobe lockers, and other necessary items. The designated area was also cleaned up to ensure a comfortable and safe living space for the residents. ​ "We hope that our visit and contribution will bring some joy and comfort to the residents, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to support the community," said Nabilah, one of the MR.DIY volunteers. ​ In addition, to brighten up the house area, MR.DIY volunteers planted 11 pots of beautiful decoration flowers so that the home residents can enjoy the new view in the garden to the fullest. ​ The residents were delighted to have a new space they could call their own, and one of the home guardians expressed gratitude to the volunteers.
