Be on the lookout for fraud and scams! Protect yourself by not responding to any unknown or suspicious phone calls, SMS or emails. With the increase in reported scam cases, it has also come to our attention that there have been third parties falsely using Allianz Malaysia's name to obtain customers information and commit fraud. Be assured that we take this matter very seriously as we're committed to safeguard the personal information and identity of all our stakeholders including our customers. In line with our stance, it is also important for us that you know how to protect yourself against any fraud and scams. Here are some tips to identify possible fraud and scams, such as receiving a call from someone pretending to be the company’s officer: - Use of critical scenarios as a scare tactic e.g. involvement in a court case, unauthorised policy issuance, fake claims or fraudulent usage of medical card - Urging for immediate response via suspicious website links / call-backs / phone call transfers to authorities for assistance to lodge a police report - Giving a false sense of security e.g. the scammer transfers the phone call or offers call-back from an accomplice who is pretending to be the company’s manager, to convince that the phone call is genuine - Unsolicited requests for personal banking information or confirmation of credit card transactions If you’re unsure, please always reach out to our Customer Service Centre via call at 1-300-22-5542 (8:00am– 8:00pm, Monday – Friday) or email at customer.service@allianz.com.my. Remember, always be vigilant and verify the online identities of even seemingly real organisations through their official contact channels. AVOID BECOMING A VICTIM!
