It seems like 21st century is the time for community building ๐Ÿ’ซ The question is, what kind of world would you like to live in? Last Saturday we had the opportunity to host Hoyyee and Pop at Justlife Commons for a storytelling session. Both passionate towards the environment and climate change, they shared their journey that lead them to build a community food forest aka Project Mars in Penang. The 2 acres self sufficient land will have a seed bank, a mud house cafe, a food forest, a water reservoir and a paddy field. Estimating to be able to feed 50 families through working the land, whilst providing survival essentials, clean air and water. Since everything is done from scratch and many involves manual labor work, everyone that wishes to be part of it is welcomed to volunteer. There will also be skills exchange workshops like building your own mud house (happening on 29/10 & 30/10) depending on the skills needed at different phases of the project. Youโ€™re welcome to follow them Pop & Chee Healthy Home Farming for more updates ๐Ÿ˜Š So wonderful and inspiring for us to connect with like minded communities, reminding us that together we can build a sustainable and resilient community ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ‘‰Follow us on our telegram channel for more live updates on workshops and events: https://t.me/justlifeshop Photos credits to chenyee โค๏ธ
