Catch the ‘Touch ‘n Go collaboration with United Voice’ art exhibition at the Lower Ground Floor of NU Sentral Shopping Mall from today until 5 Oct. Here are the profiles of 2 of the artists & some of their work that are featured at the exhibition. Ashley Wong Zy Wei Ashley was born in 1997 and diagnosed with autism. Her mission in painting is simply, ‘To Make People Smile’. Her paintings have brightened the walls of residences and offices in Malaysia. She exhibits in Kuala Lumpur whenever possible. She loves to paint with her fingers. Her artwork made the front cover of Maybank Foundation’s Nukilan Jiwaku 2012 Art Exhibition. Artwork available at the exhibition includes Red Penyu, Cotton Candy Flower, R-U Looking at me, Young Baby Orang Utan & Bubbles. Damien Wong Sher Yng Damien was born in 1995 and diagnosed with autism. His first painting received Special Merit from the Brian Ayers Memorial Exhibition in USA in 2008. In 2009, he won an award at the Asian Para Art Tokyo Exhibition. He was also selected in 2011 to represent Malaysia at the Art For All in Bangkok. Most of his artwork has thick textures that give dimension to the pieces. Bright and vivid colours are also his main focus in each piece of artwork.
