We started Jawi House as a small project to promote Jawi Peranakan heritage through its stories, art and most importantly the food. People who visit are always fascinated to know the different layers of history Penang has to offer and the complexity of peranakan culture. After over a decade we feel we have made a mark in our efforts to be known and set a positive trend for people to conserve and rediscover their own heritage.
