𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢 (Makes 2 servings) Ingredients: 𝐀:- 2 chicken drumsticks ½ teaspoon salt ½ tablespoon turmeric powder 𝐁:- 1 tablespoon cooking oil 1 cinnamon bark 1 bay leaf 3 cloves (bunga cengkih) 5 pieces cardamon seeds 2 pieces star anise 1 big red onion (sliced) 1 teaspoon garam masala (make into paste with 2 tablespoon water) 20gm butter 1 tomato (remove skin and dice) ¼ cup coriander (chop) ¼ cup mint leaves (chop) 1 cup basmati rice 1 to 1½ cup water (for rice) 2 tablespoons coconut powder 1 teaspoon salt (to taste) 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝: 1. Marinade chicken with ingredients A and set aside for 30 minutes. 2. Pan fry chicken with some oil to brown the sides of the skin and set aside. 3. In the same pan, heat up oil and stir fry spices until fragrant. Add in red onions, stir fry until caramelized. Add in garam masala paste, stir well. 4. Stir in the rest of the ingredients and mix well in low fire. 5. Transfer everything into a rice cooker and place the chicken on top of the rice. 6. Cook rice in rice cooker normal setting and Chicken Briyani is done in about 40 minutes.
