• Reaching Out In Tough Times • Helping struggling families with children to cope with the worsening pandemic conditions is the focus of the food basket initiative that was launched by SHELTER Community Services on 23 June. The various MCO imposed in Selangor since May has put a severe strain on the survival of many families and the impact on low-income families is more evident. To date, 169 families with 435 children from Petaling district have received food baskets containing dry foods and staple necessities. Since launching, we have received more than 300 calls from the public. Despite travel restrictions during the lockdown, we remain committed to bringing hope to families in need. This is made possible with the support of friends and partners of SHELTER! We would also like to thank Alfred @alfred_the_bird for his write-up on this initiative 🔥🔥 and we wish our friends and partners SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILADHA.
