With our change in lifestyle due to the pandemic, from outdoors to indoors. It’s not surprise if you are experiencing Digital Eye Strain (DES). Digital device usage had increased substantially in this couple of years across all walks of life, especially among students and working adults. The extensive daily use for both social and professional purposes is now normal. DES, also known as Computer Vision Syndrome, encompasses a range of ocular and visual symptoms, and estimates suggest it’s prevalence may be 50% or more among computer users. DES can be prevented by limiting screen time and interspersed by frequent breaks with 20-20-20 rule, which defined as every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and look at something 20 feet away. Even short breaks make a huge difference. #pandemic #digitaleyestrain #stayhome #staysafe #MovementControlOrder #optometrist #eyecare #malaysia #klangvalley #kualalumpur #petalingjaya #damansarauptown #subangjaya
