Reposte @ben.uzair Ferdinand’s is the only classic fine dining establishment in town, and what better way to experience the elegant dining room by sampling the restaurant's latest über-affordable Wagyu Feast promotion. Now, I must warn the pricetag is enticing, so allow me to manage expectations, so that you exactly know what you are in for. IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME to Ferdinand’s, and/or never had wagyu beef, and/or don't mind splurging RM128 for a medley of seven decently prepared dishes (four of them with minced wagyu beef), and/or would like to experience a one of a kind dining venue : consider this a pop-your-cherry experience, and GO. Do Make your reservations early as tables do fill up fast. To enhance your experience, do order a bottle of wine and/or desserts off their main menu, or best, one of their specialty coffees. (Pssst...they will flambé it, tableside!). Wine recommendation: Any cabernet sauvignon (or blends) from Australia, U.S. and France. IF YOU ARE A REGULAR at Ferdinand's, and/or are a wagyu purist, and/or have high expectations on food, I would stick to ordering Chef Danielle Rosetto's many favourite classics from the main menu. I would not say the wagyu promotion is subpar, however, the steak enthusiast in me would prefer enjoying my meat medium rare, instead of gorging on minced waygu, cooked well-done temperature, cloaked in un-fine dining style fare. Burgers, anything wrapped in phyllo, meat baked ala moussaka and saucy pastas would be best enjoyed at neighbourhood cafes and bistros. I will, however, congratulate the team at @suteraharbourofficial for becoming more creative with their promotions, in hopes to entice more diners to discover KK's Best Dining Experience (Sabah Tourism Awards 2019). I find their staff at Ferdinand's competent, friendly, accommodating and obliging an example for their other F&B outlet counterparts to emulate. I shall send my best wishes to the team the same way how I will never want my steak prepared: Well Done!
