An infotainment head unit (IHU) software update for the PROTON X50 is now available and will be released in batches. Owners can follow the simple steps below to easily check and update the IHU software. What’s new: • Refined user interface design for personal customisation • Improved voice command experience and intelligent alerts • Enhanced navigation experience • New experience with app marketplace OTA Update User Guide: Step 1: Click [Settings], then click [System]. Step 2: You will see “Update available” if the OTA update is ready for your vehicle, click [GKUI 19] to continue. Step 3: Click [Speed first] to start downloading the new IHU software. Step 4: Click [Install] once the new IHU software download is complete. Step 5: Click [Sure] to continue once you have read and understand the pop-up reminder. - Keep the engine on and stay in a safe zone to ensure your safety. - The IHU will not be operational while the software is updating. Important Note: Please do not switch off the engine when performing the software update, failure to do so may affect the system’s function. Step 6: The IHU will now start to install and update the new software. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Step 7: The IHU will restart automatically once the new software update is complete. Step 8: Once the IHU has restarted, your IHU software has been successfully updated to the latest version. Step 9: To check if you have the latest IHU software version, click [Settings] then click [System] to view your current software version.
