Organic papayas grown to put smiles on faces! 😊 Located in Bentong, Mr. Ng and his partners at HH Farms started growing good quality organic foods because they enjoyed seeing the priceless reaction when people taste good food. They started by growing figs with many varieties from all over the world and then ventured into other fruits and vegetables during the recent years. Now, the farm has over 400 papayas, french beans and mung beans. We were also told that there might be ...organic mangosteens and durians coming soon! ✨ Papaya trees are susceptible to fruit flies and dieback disease that affects the whole tree. That’s why Mr. Ng puts a lot of effort to make sure the soil is fertile for the papaya trees to grow healthily with a strong immunity. How? Through home made compost, microbes and a special organic fertilizer from Indonesia. Organic papayas are often imperfect, and ripen unevenly as there are no chemicals used during the process. Always remember to keep an eye out and check on them daily. Store them in the fridge immediately when they have ripened. We enjoyed the papayas during our staff lunch yesterday. Sweet, juicy with a nice texture to it.
