That one slice that we all crave for, pizza eating adventures is all that we ask for. Dreaming about getting that special slice of New York that would fire up your mouth with the authentic flavours of the Big Apple?

Well yes, somebody heard us and they brought New York to Malaysia!

Michael Helfman, the man behind Mikey’s New York Pizza at Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar that opened in March 2013 is a native New Yorker himself. When he was on a trip around Asia, he had a local New York style “pizza by the slice”. Disappointed by the quality of the New York pizzas he found in our region, he decided to start up a New York Pizza franchise in Kuala Lumpur to bring authentic New York style pizzas to us. Ok, would somebody please give this man a cookie already!

New York's attachment to pizza hardly requires explanation. It is said that they simply have the best pizzas choices around. Typically, a New York pizza is characterized by large hand-tossed thin-crust pies, roughly 18 inches in diameter and often sold in wide single slices to go. You might just have to leave your fork and knife at home because true New Yorkers will say the only way to eat NY pizza is a 3-step process: lift it, fold it and then just bite it.

Mikey’s New York Pizza replicates the settings of pizzerias in NYC to give the locals here a taste of the New York culture. This is done by decorating the walls of Mikey’s New York Pizza with New York style memorabilia and let’s not forget the authentic black and white tiled floors too!

An “open kitchen” concept is what you will be able to find here at Mikey’s New York Pizza as they would like their customers to have great view on how the pizzas are tossed and baked in the oven by Andrew Bellucci, Mikey’s very own highly-rated pizzaiolo.
