In conjunction with the upcoming Halloween festival, the whole place was decorated with halloween decorations. Besides that, they are also having a halloween themed cheese tart!
We tried all the 3 new flavours; as usual, the cheese tart is filled with creamy and custard-like cream cheese encased in a freshly baked crust to a golden brown perfection. However, for these new products, they are more subtle on the cheese flavour. Instead, there’s a hint of vanilla, allowing other flavours to dominate. We highly recommend to eat it as a whole, instead of cutting them into slices. The filling is quite liquidy, hence it melts down to the plate (unless you don’t mind messy eating, then by all means!).
First off, we had the Pablo Mini Mango (RM9.90). The cheese tart was topped with juicy mango bits, drizzled with mango sauce. There was a balance in the flavors, we could still taste the cheesiness from the fillings, combined with a slight hint of sweet and sour from the mango drizzles.
Next, we tried the Pablo Mini Mont Blanc (RM9.90). It was topped off with rich aromatic chestnut cream. The first bite was a tad salty, the sweetness from the chestnut cream developed after. We weren’t exactly a big fan of anything chestnut, but it was a pretty unique flavour to combine with a cheese tart.
Last but not least, the one and only Pablo Mini Pumpkin (RM9.90). As Halloween is near, Pablo came up with a bite-sized cheese tart topped with freshly prepared pumpkin paste, filled with smooth azuki fresh cream. Azuki cream is basically light whipped cream with a mixture of red bean paste. Unfortunately, we couldn’t taste any hint of red bean, but the same kind of filling that was in the cheese tarts that we took.
We felt so guilty for eating so much cheese. But if you’re up for a sinful yet “healthy” (we know it’s not, but it’s just a way to make ourselves feel better after all the cheesiness) cheese tarts, you should definitely give Pablo a try!
P/S: We were also given a free drip coffee with their Pablo Choco Crunch! It’s pretty easy to get em’, you just gotta like them on their facebook page and show it to them! And ta-daaa! FREE STUFF. The Pablo Choco Crunch is selling for RM33.90/per box if you’re interested in getting more, by the way.
